What is onemillioniphones.com?Do you remember the milliondollarhompage.com website? This is the iPhone version.We don't have any relationship with the milliondollarhompage inventor, but we appreciated the idea and we'd like to have the same success. onemillioniphones.com is a website designed for iPhones showing a homepage divided in blocks of pixels. You are invited to buy blocks of pixels that will be displayed on the homepage permanently. Within the blocks you purchased you can display an image of your choice (pictures, logos and advertising are accepted) and we'll give you the image click through to your own website. No obscene or offensive images are allowed. Top Why is it only for iPhone?Today it's the mobile era and starting from July 2007 it's the iPhone era.This website is designed to be displayed on the iPhone screen and it has been designed with specific customization of the web pages. We believe iPhone makes the difference in mobile browsing and the touch is the key difference. That's why we designed a block of pixels big enough to be clicked using fingers. You are able to view this website also using other mobile phones, but the user experience will be different and sometimes bad. In any case we suggest you to use your PC browser if you want to buy pixels and upload your image for selected pixels. Top How do I buy pixels?To buy your blocks of pixels click the Get Pixels link on top of the page and select which pixels you want.You can select your blocks of pixels, upload your image, submit some info and pay using your PayPal account. The entire process takes few minutes. The blocks are divided in different categories considering the user experience and therefore different prices are applied depending on the part of the display your pixels belong to. You can buy as many pixels as you like, as long as there are some available (see the live stats at the bottom of the homepage) with some limitations. In fact we decided to give this opportunity to more people and therefore we have set a maximum of blocks you can buy. Top Why can't I buy one single pixel?One pixel is just the metric to measure the page, but the minimum amount of pixels you can buy is a block of 32x32 pixels.The site has been conceived more to people with websites or business to advertise and 32x32 is the minimum amount of pixels to show something readable and clickable with fingers using iPhones. To avoid any security concerns we selected PayPal as the payment method for our pixels. PayPal is the easier and safier way to pay without exposing your credit card number. Top How many pixels are available?The total numer of pixels is 497,664 and the total number of blocks is 486.You can check the amount of available and sold pixels at the bottom of the homepage. Top What is the price map?The blocks of pixels have different prices depending on which part of the homepage they live.The page is vertically divided in 6 grids. Each grid contains 81 blocks and has different prices. The following table shows the price for a single block in the grids:
